The AZ Charity Tax Credit allows Arizonans to donate up to $987 to qualifying charities like Camp Patrick and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against taxes owed. Married couples can donate up to $987 and single individuals can donate up to $495.<\/p>\n
The amount you donate goes towards what you owe on your taxes dollar for dollar. It’s an awesome program that doesn’t cost anything to do and Camp Patrick receives 100 percent of your donation.<\/p>\n
So, for example, if you are a married couple that owes $1200 for your AZ taxes, and you donate $987 to Camp Patrick, than you will only owe $213 to the state. The state then gives our foundation all $987 of your donation. It’s really awesome!<\/p>\n
Now, Arizonans can donate all the way up until the April deadline. Katie and Tommy recommend donating in early April so that you get the money back a couple weeks later. It’s an awesome program the state of AZ offers to help local charities.<\/p>\n
